Kelvinhall Underground

In the words of the classic school song, “Hitler has only got one ball, the other…is in the Kelvin Hall” and if you have the time, why not get off at this stop and head East to the Kelvin Hall where you can see the remains of Hitlers testicle proudly on display.

Nah…only kidding, its a big sports venue now and probably never had Hitlers baw in there at any time so you may as well stick with the old Glasgow Subcrawl drinking malarkey.

Head out of Kelvinhall Underground Station on Dumabrton Road and across the road, you will see The Dolphin, which is the natural stop, even if it looks rather small on first viewing. This bar provides another Celtic stop-off to slightly balance the score from the South side of Glasgow but again, all are welcome inside.

The pub is more than used to dealing with subcrawlers, who by the time they get to here are fairly well lubricated. if you have been on the Subcrawl but not for a few years, you may notice some changes in the Dolphin when you return. There used to be a sectioned off area at the back of the bar but this is no longer the case.

There are alternatives to The Dolphin if you fancy something else with The Partick Tavern being situated across the way from The Dolphin whilst The Lismore Bar is on the same side as the underground stop but to the West.

If you are the type of drinker that takes their alcohol very seriously, The Lismore Bar is the place to be as there will be loads of other people with jumpers and beards talking very loudly about ales and whiskey. It takes all sorts to make up the crawl!
